About Us

Canada Ukraine Alliance for Deaf
and Hard of Hearing Persons (CUADHHP)

CUADHHP is a non-profit organization registered under the Societies Act of the Province of Alberta. Members of CUADHHP comprise individuals, organizations, academic institutions and corporations interested in working on issues of importance to deaf and hard of hearing people in Ukraine and Canada.

Board members of CUADHHP meet monthly to develop ways of increasing cooperation and communication between deaf and hard of hearing communities in Ukraine and Canada.

The Board of CUADHHP design projects aimed at addressing the educational and social needs of Ukrainian and Canadian students, families and professional educators who have experience with deafness and deaf studies.

In addition to meeting formally, CUADHHP communicates with its members over the internet. This technology allows people in Ukraine to become members of the organization, to participate in project work, and to communicate with their Canadian counterparts.

CUADHHP's sister organization, the Ukraine Canada Alliance for Deaf and Hard of Hearing, coordinates project initiatives generated in Ukraine.
